Vísur Vatnsenda-Rósu

Hey,

I'm sitting in the cafeteria in my school, studying for a text on Wednesday. The course is Iceland and the European Union which is actually very interesting but I want to do everything else except do this... as you may see. Also if there is any time that you can party in Iceland it's Easter because there are so many days of in a row.

On, what we call, Long-Friday (the day that Jesus died) I went golfing with my dad and today we went also. I've got the bacteria, as we say, and among other things I've done so that I'm not studying is check out golf courses close to the town I'll be staying in Thailand.

As you may know I'm graduating this fall and I haven't got a clue what to do. I wanted to get some good job at an export company but when I went to Brussels I met one of our teacher (he lives in Berlin) and he told me that the biggest asset one can have is language. So I'm thinking about going next summer to France and go to a language school for a month, then tour the country and in the end go to London stay for a week and go home. But I get new ideas every day.

More about travel, in the end of next month I'll be going to the Euro-Cup of private schools in Berlin... I'll be the substitute and social support. Maybe KPMG or where ever you work Tim can support us they get their logo on the t-shirts.

My thesis is going well, got 4556 words and the essay is suppose to be between 10 and 15 thousand. Off course you don't get the grade by how many words there are but it's the only thing I can quantify.

Later,
Úlli

He lives!!!!!

Yes, yes, it's true, I've been lax with my blogging. But alas, I must claim the excuse that I've been made into someone's tax bitch until April 15th. Not too much interesting about work, other than seeing how much money some people make in a year. Haven't been up to anything interesting really since Walker came into town. I was supposed to meet with Nim, Nate, and Bryan for lunch last week, but I had to bail because we don't get lunch at work anymore. We just grab something and eat at our computers. So, I missed the reunion of the Barca/Chicago contingent. Today was the St. Patrick's Day parade and they dyed the river green in Chicago. I didn't make the parade though 'cause I had to work. I know they kept Adam busy at his internship, but I'm just curious how many hours he had to work. I know in the States that i-banking internships usually involve about 80 hours/week. Mine's not quite that bad, but I usually put in a solid 65/week.

On top of that, the weather's been absolute shit. Here it is, March already, and still we've had snow all week, and when I left my house this morning for work it was -16 C with the wind chill (3 Fahrenheit).

I, too, have now entered the world of meaningless birthdays. I was told that my next big one is 25, when my car insurance goes down and I can rent a car in most places. I can't wait. I turned 22 on March 3rd, and I can't wait until Adam joins me as an old man in a week. If I remember correctly, Edgar also has a 22nd birthday this month. We were the young ones of the bunch.

I know, I know, my life is boring right now, but I promise tales of drunken debauchery after April 15th. But for now, no VIP parties, indie film festivals, or charity football matches for me. But if anyone's got income tax issues, I'm your man :)

Take care all,
Tim
