Getting Hungary

Right now I'm waiting for confirmation of the time when my plane leaves for Hungary, Budapest to be precise. I was called in the morning and informed that the plane wouldn't go at 13:10 but at least 2 hours later. So I found time to blog for the first time in ages. Over the past few weeks not much has happened in my life. As usual it's a 'TV novella' with girls but that's just the way it is. The more important parts have been happening in the society...

Ok quick lesson in Icelandic politics. in 1983 this fella' Davíð Oddsson was elected the city mayor where he stayed until 1991 when he was elected prime minister. Two weeks ago he stopped that and became the foreign affairs minister as a part of a deal within the government. Ok, for me and most Icelanders born later than 1980 this is like being Cuban and Fidel Castro would become I don't minister of agriculture or something. One thought do you think the minister of foreign affairs in Cuba has much to do... discuss. This is just like twilight zone ... some things just don't change. Mean while one can see very obviously that this guys party is getting all their guys into the right positions before they leave office, because they'll defiantly lose next elections! Anyways

I'm off to Hungary in 4 hours to meet my cousin who is studying medicine in a city called Debrecen and we will get drunk together their for few days. The first day (later today) we are going with Lily (a girl from Hungary which most of us met in BCN) to a party which I think will be fairly enjoyable. Since this delay is changing my plans (not to much though) I think I'm going to demand a top of the line hotel in BP though I don't really need it.

One thing I'm very proud of being doing.... Next fall I'll graduate and the most of group will go to Thailand for a graduation trip (Svana went to Croatia:(.) For fund raising we are doing all sorts of stuff selling school sweaters, toilet paper, throwing parties for the student association etc. But I got one idea myself... We are making a deal with the Football Association about become sort of cheer leaders and sing like we've been paid to do it... and we are!!! We pay a fairly low price for the tickets, get companies to support us and sing like the mofo's that we are. And I get a bunch of money for it... other aswell but I get the most since it's my idea.

Anyways, off to Hungary

Job Offer!! (j/k)

Well, I've no great news to report on the job front. I'm still the bank's part-time bitch for now. Just chilling in the library right now poring over a case on PepsiCo's restaurants. Reminds me of Marta Gabarro, the Consumer Behaviour prof. What a character...and that bite!! Good to hear everyone's doing so well with the job offers. Only a select few of us remain in the hallowed halls of tertiary education.

I was out at the bar with some friends the other night and this kid, Arpan Shah, started quoting Ali G. I gave Adam and the Brits a mental "big up" for their marketing skills. I told him he's got to check out the Posh and Becks interview--Ali G. at his finest.

Ulli, I see your boys from London are hanging near the top. A, your fellas in red had best pick things up or they'll be lost in the dregs of the table.

Enough.

Stórir strákar fá raflost

Hey,

Ok I haven't blogged in a while as everybody else but there hasn't been much happening, as usual there is girl trouble but I don't wasn't to go into it because I always get so much shit from you guys. I can tell you this though I got an email from a girl that was hitting on me but pist also and she called me "fuckboy". It wasn't a complement!

After this class I'm going to a driving range because I have to practice for the in school tournament. There are 20 groups participating and it's played Texas scramble style. My partner in this tournament is the president of the student counsel who is a girl and our combined handicap is 72 so we are pretty bad... But we are still going to win:D The tournament will be really fun but I think it's more about all the free beer that will be given during the tournament:D

Wow the teacher made the worst joke EVER!

I'm rather bored in school I didn't think I would look forward so much to go to Hungary. Ill be going the 30. and coming back the 4. of October. I'm not looking to go sight seeing it will be mostly drinking and while hang-over I'll shop:D

Bleh, I think I'll just stop now, it's really a blog to blog not that anything new has happened. But about what Constance did I think its incredibly irresponsible. This kind of behavior is not acceptable, this would never happen to me... or not:)

The class took a quick turn to discussion about teachers pay (it's an accounting class).

Funny, later.

Death to Bloggers!

Well, I had a clever blog all thought up in me 'ead, but then Constance had to go and break the streak by writing something. Where are the rest of you? Have you been kidnapped and threatened with death by chorizo if you ever blog again? Some sinister plot developed by George W. Bush, no doubt. Constance, Conor has a postcard on our fridge that I sent him from BCN, and it has Copito on the front, beating his chest like he's a gorilla or something. Just staring out the window now at the cool late summer night. It's started to cool off at night now, but the days are absolutely beautiful. I'm going home tomorrow because I've got tickets for the Cubs' doubleheader on Friday. Should be a drunkfest. They're making up one of the games that got "hurricaned" out in Miami last weekend. School sucks, as usual. I've begun my post-graduate education (a bit prematurely, I know), and I have two Masters classes at the mo. The reading load is intense...and boring. Well, I assume it would be boring if I had done any of it. Not much on course reading, am I.
My Labor Day was not as interesting as Constance's. Just some really good smoked ribs at my grandparents'. My uncle told me that a bus strike is currently underway in Bolivia, and bus traffic is completely halted. Good timing for me, but one of the Bolivians we were traveling with has had considerable trouble getting back to the US.
A, done with the internship now? Back to student hours? Drop an e-mail to let us know how it went. Off to write a paper now for my composition class. Gotta fulfull my Comp II requirement before graduation. Just got in contact with the 2 ESADE students who are here, and we might get drinks or something some time. 2 girls...sounds like trouble to me.

Cheers,
Timmy Tim Tims
